Atlantis Athletics runs December campaign for Georgetown Hospital Starting on December 1, Atlantis Athletics, located at 232 Guelph St. in Georgetown, will be offering 10 guest visits to the club for $10. All proceeds from this month-long event will go to benefit Georgetown Hospital Foundation. The 10 visits for $10 gift certificates may be purchased at the club by members for friends or family and by non-members for themselves and their guests. The first visit starts with a tour of the club at the corner of Guelph St. and Mountainview Rd. and each visit allows full use of club facilities and services. Full details are available by calling or visiting the club, 905-877-0771, info@atlanticathletics.com. Atlantis Athletics owner Brian Bahm says, "We believe this unique team effort in support of Georgetown Hospital Foundation is a perfect "10" that will benefit all those involved, and we look forward to a very successful campaign. "The `10 for 10' campaign is living proof that doing good does you good! We are proud to support the Georgetown Hospital Foundation. Together, we share in a philosophy of supporting and encouraging people to live life to the fullest," he adds. Georgetown Hospital is a busy, primary care hospital serving the people of Halton Hills where more than four out of five homes have had a family member cared for at Georgetown Hospital in the past two years. The Hospital relies on the generous support of the community to acquire the medical equipment its healthcare professionals need to provide the best possible care. Rev. Brian Galligan with the children from St. Alban's in Acton. Friday is deadline for Links2Care 13 Holiday Hamper applications Independent & Free Press, Tuesday, November 29, 2011 St. Alban's Anglican Church in Acton fills 114 shoeboxes with toys and more By SALLY MILLER St. Alban's Anglican Church On Sunday, Nov. 20, 114 Shoeboxes filled with toys, clothes and other gifts, were blessed at St. Alban's Church in Acton. These will be sent to children in a country who may have never received a gift, let alone a Christmas gift, in their life. This is a project St. Alban's has been doing with joy for about 13 years and we have all found it very rewarding. A company in Mississauga has "twinned" with us and they filled 35 boxes while another couple had a dinner party and instead hostess gifts, they requested that each couple coming fill a box or two. One year, a child whose birthday is around this time of year, asked for contributions for the boxes instead of presents. This is a project that is run by Samaritans Purse under the leadership of evangelist Franklin Graham.
