PILGRIM, Robert Barry Passed away peacefully, December 2nd, 2011 at the Georgetown Hospital, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of 46 years to Marolyn (nee Grove) Pilgrim and proud, loving father of son Robert Andrew Pilgrim. He was born in London, Ontario in 1941. Predeceased by his father Robert Henry Pilgrim. He is survived by his mother Hilda McCormick Mickle of London, Ontario. He will be missed dearly by his sisters-in-law Shirley Zielinski (Martin) of Jacksonville, Florida and Carol King of Lexington, Virginia and by his brother-in-law Timothy Grove (Annette) of Adena, Ohio. He will be missed by his nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Robert spent his career as a pilot in various types of flying, including Wardair Canada, Canadian, and ultimately retiring from Air Canada in 2001. In his retirement, he continued to enjoy his love of history, literature, shooting sports and fishing. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at the J.S. Jones and Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, north of Maple Avenue, Georgetown 905-8773631 on Wednesday December 7th, from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm with a memorial service in chapel on Thursday, December 8th, 2011 at 11:00 am.
