St. John's welcomes community to concerts By LOIS FRASER St. John's United Church It's all about the BABY! St. John's United Church Choir is excited to once again share their love of music with the community at their annual Christmas concert. Directed by Carolyn Braun and Diane Murray-Charrett, the choir has 30 voices and enthusiasm as well as talent to share. This year's music revolves around Mary, her baby and expresses the wonderful moments of motherhood that millions before and after her time on earth have felt. The one-hour concert features challenging arrangements that will be sure to delight the ears and make you smile. And what concert is complete without the audience joining in on some Christmas carols and finishing the concert with the Hallelujah Chorus? The baby sure won't be sleeping through that one! The community is offered a choice of two performances, the Sunday service (Dec. 11, 10-11 a.m.) or the evening concert on Dec.12, 7-8 p.m. at St. John's, 11 Guelph St., Georgetown. The Monday concert will involve a carol singalong and goodies afterwards. Admission is free and all are welcome. A free will collection will be shared with the Salvation Army's Christmas Kettle program. New members are welcome to join this happy group of singers in the New Year.
