At World Tap Dance Championships Dancers win silver medal Two local dancers, members of the Junior Canadian Tap team, brought home a silver medal from the World Tap Dance Championships held in Reisa, Germany earlier this month. Jessica Slessor, 14, and Abigail Dillon, 13, of Georgetown, were on the team that placed second for Junior Group formations. Youth wanted for auditions Calling all youth between the ages of eight to 20, Globe Production's Youth Company is holding open auditions for its spring presentation of Annie. There are many roles for both male and female of all ages. Auditions will be held Friday, Jan. 6, 6-9 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 7, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with callbacks on Sunday, Jan. 8, 1-4 p.m. All auditions and callbacks will be held at Globe Productions' new home, The Armoury, 1 Park Ave., Georgetown (Georgetown Fairgrounds) Youth must come prepared with one musical theatre song that will tell a story-- no songs from Annie please.
