RIDE results in 37 impaired charges Halton Police laid 37 impaired driving charges in the recent 2011 Holiday RIDE program. A total of 17,396 vehicles were stopped across the region during the campaign that ran from Dec. 1 to Dec. 31. Police administered 564 roadside breath tests. In Milton, Acton and Georgetown police stopped 4,866 vehicles in 22 spot checks and laid nine impaired charges.
