Nominations being accepted for Georgetown Citizen of Year The Georgetown Lions Club is on the `hunt" looking for that special person, couple or organization that, through their volunteerism, is worthy to be named Georgetown's Citizen of the Year. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the award, which has been given to those who have made a significant contribution to the quality of life in Georgetown. The award can be given to an individual, couple, group or organization that has served our community as an outstanding volunteer, in sports, culture, health or social services. Many times the recipients have volunteered in multiple organizations over many years. To nominate an outstanding volunteer send a letter or use the application form and return it to Lions Club Citizen of the Year, P.O. Box 73, Georgetown L7G 4T1, or email dpenrice@sympatico.ca by February 15. Forms are available from Lion Doug Penrice. Past nominations are carried forward for two years and will be reconsidered. The awards dinner will be held March 27, at the Lions Hall with presentations from the Lions Club and all levels of government. For more information contact Penrice at 905-873-8469. 3 SINCLAIR INCLAIR S Family and Cosmetic Dentistry In Your Community Since 1980 DENTISTRY ON N E NT I ST RY O D ·The IFP· Halton Hills, Tuesday, January 24, 2012 Convenient Evening Appointments New Patients Always Welcome Dental Emergencies Seen Promptly Space available for teens in PEACE program Any teens in Halton Region who want to learn more about policing should consider taking part in the 2012 PEACE program offered by Halton Regional Police.
