Mompreneurs, gathered together to showcase their services and products to the community. With over 600 visitors through the doors, the inaugural Showcase for the Halton Hills' Mompreneur Chapter was a great success. The day's acvies included cupcake decorang, a live reple display, a bouncy castle and face painng. Families had a great visit while discovering the talent available in our own backyard. Adina Ingram, owner and longme resident of Halton, said the day was nothing short of amazing. "As a small business owner and mom myself, having an outlet like our Showcase is what mompreneurs need to help market their talent to the community. We are a proud supporter of the Shop Local Campaign, and the public here in Halton Hills spoke loud and clear that they are here to support these businesses as well." Local band releases third album Georgetown band, The Compound, has released its third album, Say It Again Now, and music lovers will be able to hear them play live, 9 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 12 at Nashville North. The Compound, comprised of Simon Talevski (lead vocals, guitars and keyboards) Kevin Farmer (drums, percussion and backing vocals) and Tommy Lowe (bass and backing vocals), have been together for about four years. The latest album is mainly a pop/ rock sound with eight new tracks. It was recorded at BWC Studio with engineer and co-producer Greg Dawson. "We are very proud of this third album," said Talevski. "It is the best Compound record to date. We really found a sound that we are happy with on it. This time around we feel we are better arrangers and producers of our own music.
