New exhibit at the Main Street Inn Mississauga-based artist Mario Angel has hung a display of 20 pieces of his contemporary impressionistic art in acrylic at Main Street Inn. Angel graduated from art school in his native Columbia in 1971, and immigrated to Canada in 1972. He now teaches from his home, as well as maintaining a permanent display of seven pieces at the Mississauga Living Arts Centre. The pieces at Main Street Inn, Main St. S. in Georgetown, will be on display until April 2. The art is on display at Pictures and Presents at 134 Main Street South in Georgetown. Herta Hajek, Tiziana Manierka, George Perdue, Eileen Simpson, and Jan Zimmerman have been exploring their muse in landscape, still life, figure, and abstract images. There has been a collective exploration of texture and composition in some of this work. The work is on display now and through the winter months, Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. till 5 p.m. or by appointment by calling 905876-7654.
