Pair charged in crime spree A Georgetown woman, and man of no fixed address, are facing charges in connection with a recent two-week crime spree in Halton. Halton Police were called to investigate a robbery at a medical centre on Laurier Ave. in Milton Jan. 23 where a man had been discovered by employees in the staff area. When he was confronted, he showed them the handle of what was believed to be a knife. Employees attempted to stop the man, but he fled after taking a wallet. When police arrived they found a pickup truck being driven erratically. The lights and siren in the cruiser were activated to pull the driver over but the vehicle failed to stop. The driver continued to drive erratically. Police say the driver lost control and drove onto the boulevard at Chelvin Dr. and Fagan Dr., hitting a stop sign and mailbox.
