Submitted photo Men's summer rec league needs players The Halton Men's Non-Contact Recreational Hockey League is currently registering for its 29'th consecutive season. This individual-entry league provides recreational hockey for players aged 30 and over, playing a once-per-week schedule of games on Wednesday nights beginning in mid-May, concluding in August. A recreational women's team representing the North Halton Girls' Hockey Association earned the championship at the recent Orangeville Tigers' Sweethearts Tournament. In the preliminary round, Team Twisted defeated Orangeville Red 4-1 and Oshawa Yellow 7-2 before being edged 4-3 by Orangeville Purple, but the local squad rebounded to beat Orangeville Purple 5-1 in the final.
