As of Wednesday afternoon, more than 200 students had signed it, said Gomes. "There is no need for this rule," said Aaron Jackson, another Grade 12 student who wore shorts Wednesday. He said prior to this he wasn't aware there was a specified date students could wear shorts. "If it's uniform, and it's hot out, we should be allowed to wear our shorts," said Gomes. Woman charged with shoplifting A Georgetown woman was charged with theft under $5,000 in connection with the theft of about $600 worth of items from the Real Canadian Superstore Monday afternoon.
