On Wednesday, August 31, 2011 Halton Healthcare Services (HHS), the Georgetown Hospital Foundation, the Town of Halton Hills and our community celebrated the great news that the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care would be providing funding to support the expansion and renovation of the Emergency and Diagnostic Imaging Departments to accommodate a new CT Scanner at Georgetown Hospital. It's full steam ahead! Since the announcement, HHS has been working diligently to finalize plans for the project in anticipation of the start of construction this spring. Construction of the Emergency Department's addition will be followed by renovations inside the building, which is required to expand the Hospital's Diagnostic Imaging Department. HHS looks forward to celebrating many project milestones with our community, starting with the official groundbreaking this Spring. Thanks for all your support ­ we couldn't do it without you!
