IN MEMORIAMS KINNON, Terry (Theresa) It has been a year since we lost Terry (Theresa) Kinnon. She was the greatest wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and nurse. Mom, please know you're in our thoughts, hearts and souls. We miss you so much and nothing will ever be the same without you. Please don't mourn for me I'm still here, though you don't see. I'm right by your side each night and day And within your heart I long to stay. My body is gone but I'm always near I'm everything you feel, see and hear. My spirit is free but I'll never depart As long as you keep me alive in your heart. I'll never wander out of your sight. I'm the brightest star on a warm summer night. I'll never go beyond your reach I'm the warm, moist sand when you walk on the beach. I'm the colourful leaves when winter comes `round And the pure white snow that blankets the ground. I'm the beautiful flowers of which you're so fond. The clear cool water in a quiet pond. I'm the first bright blossom you see in the spring. The first shiny raindrop that storm clouds bring. I'm the first ray of light when the sun starts to shine And you see that the face in the moon is mine. I'm the hot salty tears that flow when you weep And the beautiful dreams that come while you sleep I'm the smile you see on a stranger's face Just look for me......... I'm every place! "Going natural can save you time and money in the long run," said Alison Qua-Enoo, Program Coordinator for Escarpment Outreach. "Why strive for a manicured and high maintenance lawn and garden when you can have an attractive, all-season yard with native shrubs and flowers, that will benefit local wildlife and help the environment?" Native plants have an advantage because they can withstand lower rainfall in the summer without watering. CVC staff can identify native plants that are resistant to a wider range of local pests, making chemical treatment unnecessary. Native plants can withstand competition from other plants, which means less weeding. Information in this workshop is meant for neighbourhoods in Halton Hills, but everyone is welcome to attend. Local residents can sign up to receive a free native tree or shrub at the event when registering. Register by calling 905-670-1615, ext. 436.
