Those with cancer fight a continuing battle for life while the Canadian Cancer Society works towards its eradication or, at the very least, to control this deadly illness. In order to succeed in the fight against cancer, this organization is targeting five key areas: subsidizing research projects, encouraging the adoption of government health policies, promoting strategies to reduce the risks of cancer, increasing public awareness of cancer and supporting cancer patients and their families. The work involved is huge as it involves the eradication of the main cause of premature death in Canada. This is why your participation is vital, whether it's by donating some money or by spreading the word. And neither should we forget the important contribution of volunteers. The Canadian Cancer Society has, in fact, always been able to count on the support of thousands of people giving countless hours of unpaid work to the organization.
