"I feel great!" said McKinley, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to claim his prize. "It's still hard to believe though!" The 66-year old plays POKER LOTTO whenever he gets the urge. He scanned his ticket on the self-checker three times until he finally realized he won the jackpot prize. "At first I thought I won $100, only to find out I won $100,000!" he laughed. POKER LOTTO is a lottery game that offers both instant in-store wins-- of up to $5,000-- and nightly prize draws of up to $100,000 with each $2 ticket, and uses playing card symbols rather than numbers. The father of five plans to use his winnings to pay off a few bills and he'll put the rest into his savings. The winning ticket was purchased at Royal Jug City on Queen Street in Acton. OLG photo School uniforms a divisive issue for Catholic parents By KIM ARNOTT Metroland Media Group Should all students at Halton's Catholic elementary schools be required to wear a uniform? That's one of the options being discussed, as the Catholic school board undergoes a review of its school uniform policy. As part of that review, the board recently held a public consultation meeting at St. Peter elementary school in Milton that attracted about 80 people. Parents were asked to consider whether a board-wide uniform policy would be an improvement over the current process, which allows individual elementary schools to vote on whether or not to implement uniforms. All Catholic high school students have long been required to wear uniforms. Like most discussions involving school uniforms, the meeting featured a highly divided crowd, with parents expressing strong opinions both in favour and against uniforms. While opponents suggested elementary school uniforms are expensive, unnecessary and inconvenient in a board that has undergone many boundary changes, a number of supporters tied the uniform to the board's sense of Catholicity.
