11 ·The IFP· Halton Hills, Thursday, May 31, 2012 Big Bike ride raises $14,000 The Dairy `Cow'-ntess helped set the pace for the Saputo Dairy Products team that participated in the recent Heart & Stroke Foundation's Big Bike fundraiser, taking a 20-minute ride covering Guelph St., Sinclair Ave. and Armstrong Ave. The Saputo entry raised more than $2,100 and was one of a few local businesses that took part in the event, including the biggest contributor of the day, Alcoa Howmet's Georgetown casting facility, which pulled in $4,257. The local Big Bike raised close to $14,000 in total. Last year, the Canada-wide campaign generated over $7 million for heart & stroke research.
