Abernethy created bronze portraits of Glen Gould, Ian Millar and Big Ben, Arnold Palmer, John Hirsch, William John Butler, William Lyon Mackenzie King and the recently unveiled piece of Oscar Peterson at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa. Main floor in-home hair care studio featuring SoColor by Matrix Williams Mill provided art courses to Glen students This spring, the Williams Mill Visual Arts Centre launched the Glen Williams Public School arts education initiative. More than 200 students from the school participated in this unique program that combined the talents of the artists at the Williams Mill with students ages 4 to 11. The six to eight week art program offered the students a variety of art programming including art fundamentals, mask making, percussion, woodworking, soap carving and watercolour. The initiative was celebrated at an Art Show that was held at the Glen Williams Public School on June 7th. This pilot project is a direct result of the funding provided by the Ontario Trillium Foundation.The Williams Mill Visual Arts Centre will be expanding the program to include other schools by offering classes and workshops in the new Arts Education Centre.
