Learn how to use a computer and use this skill to create a cover letter and a resume. Workshops cover the basics of Windows, Word, email and the internet. The Adult Learning Centre is urging adults in Georgetown and Acton currently looking for work, to register early for their upcoming computer workshops. Starting early October, the Adult Learning Centre (run by Literacy North Halton, a communitybased adult learning organization), will be offering computer workshops. These are suitable for adults 19 and older who need to upgrade their skills and learn basic technology. Registration for workshops is currently underway and space is limited. Classes are scheduled to run Wednesday evenings in Georgetown and Acton for a 10week period. If you need to upgrade your reading, writing or basic math skills, the Adult Learning Centre can also assist you. Adult students are matched with volunteer tutors either one-on-one or in small groups. Lessons are held at various locations throughout the community. Adult volunteer tutors needed!
