ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT Halton Hills women have starring roles in Into The Woods production Two Halton Hills women are starring in the Royal City Musical Productions Inc. presentation of Into the Woods, from April 28 to May 1, at the River Run Centre's Co-operators Hall in Guelph. Acton's Stephanie Kroezen and Georgetown's Sarah Dexter are cast as the Witch and Stepsister respectively. "This is my second time doing this particular show and happens to be one of my favourites," said Kroezen. "I am honored to be playing the lead role of the "Witch" and am happy to announce that I will be sharing the stage with a good friend of mine Sarah Dexter. Into The Woods takes many of Grimm's familiar Photos by Dean Palmer fairytale characters, including Cinderella, Rapunzel, Jack and the Beanstalk and Little Red Riding Hood, spins them together in one outrageous tale and shows us the consequences of wishing and what really happens after "happily ever after" . The play is directed by the father-daughter team of Scott and Thea Lale, choreographed by Holly Reid and under the musical direction of Carol McFadden. "This show is one of my favourites," says Scott Lale. "It embraces the fact that it's a play. It invites everyone in on the joke. And as a result, everyone connects and shares the experience a little deeper." Now that Regional Official Plan Amendment No. 38 policies are in effect related to the Regional Agricultural System, Natural Heritage System and Mineral Resource Extraction, it is the appropriate time for the Town of Halton Hills to commence a review of the Town's Official Plan and Zoning By-law to bring them into full conformity with the Regional Official Plan. The main theme areas requiring amendments include: · The Agricultural/Rural Area which includes the: ° Agricultural Area ° Mineral Resource Extraction Area ° Rural Clusters · The Natural Heritage System within the Agricultural/Rural Area · The Greenbelt Protected Countryside Area (as required) The role of the Project Liaison Committee is to: · Meet on a regular basis to monitor the progress of the study; · Provide input into the Community Consultation Strategy which will be prepared for the project; · Provide comments during the study process including reviewing public communication materials in advance of public consultation events; · Assist with issue identification; and, · Act as project ambassadors and liaise with their respective organizations or community of interest, both to ensure broad community awareness of the project, and to obtain broader community input. Key Map Eligibility Criteria To be eligible to serve on the Liaison Committee, applicants must: · Be a resident and/or land owner within the study area as shown on the Key Map; · Be over the age of 18 years; · Be available to meet between 3 and 5 times over a 2 year period; and, · Not be employed by the Town of Halton Hills.
