Foyay's Birthday Bash, the nickname of one of the victims of the Toronto apartment blaze, Jordan Boyer, generated $7,646.30 for SKETCH, a community-arts-development initiative based in Toronto engaging young people homeless and on the margins, ages 16-29, from across Canada. The concert was held at Georgetown's Royal Canadian Legion and performers included local bands Jack Pine, Silver Creek Folk and Dirty Sol. SKETCH has established a bursary in the victims' names that will be given out yearly. Two of Boyer's roommates, Alysia Graham and Katie Charron, also perished in the fire, while another local native, Ethan Leal, suffered minor injuries. The two-year total of funds raised for SKETCH from the birthday bash is a little more than $12,000.
