COMMUNITY UCHS hosts first Pet Talks, next one May3 By Frances Walker Upper Credit Humane Society Christine Lacombe and Trish Brown, volunteers with the St. John Ambulance Dog Therapy Program, and their pets Libby and Levi were the presenters at the first Pet Talks lecture series at the Acton Branch of the Halton Hills Library held earlier this month. The St. John volunteers discussed the program, the procedure for qualifying your dog to be a part of the team and patiently answered many questions. Libby and Levi charmed the guests with their calm and affectionate manner. Some people question budgeting for a fitness membership, but Acton's Vicki Gec will no longer worry about that. Gec was named the "Biggest Mover" in a contest at Local Motion Fitness.
