Notes
View of a white house from the back in a tropical setting, possibly the artist’s studio. When Frank Black married Lillian Spears in 1930, they honeymooned in Bermuda. The opportunity later arose for Frank to work for a Bermuda newspaper and the Blacks happily relocated in 1938. They stayed in Bermuda for about four years and it was a productive time for the artist who painted many colourful scenes of the island and its residents.
