It's the second year in a row that the Teddy Bear Toss has taken place at the Mold-Masters SportsPlex. But this year the peewee A black team invited the peewee A red Thunder to join in as well in support of the Halton Regional Po- lice's Toys for Tots cam- paign. And it didn't take long for the fake fur to fly as Noah McCutcheon, of pee- wee black, scored just 45 seconds into the contest to begin the avalanche from the stands. Approximately 300 stuffed animals were tossed onto the ice and $882 in cash was collected. The toys will be distrib- uted to the Salvation Ar- my in Georgetown and Ac- ton, as well as Big Broth- ers Big Sisters, in time for Christmas. HOCKEY Members of the Halton Hills peewee A Thunder teams dropped off their large haul of stuffed animals last week at 11 Division in Georgetown after a successful Teddy Bear Toss at a game between the two earlier this month.
