Duerdoth was born in Mitch- um, England, on Dec. 24, 1912. He is one of four children, one of whom, a sister, Joan, is 101 and living in England. He has served in the Royal Air Force, and was stationed in Russia during Sec- ond World War, where he shared the latest technology of radar to the allies of the United Kingdom.
