UNWRAP THE SAVINGS AT SAVE.CA/HOLIDAY The Town of Halton Hills has recently received confirmation that it has se- cured funding for its first asset management plan.The application to the Government of Canada and the Federation of Canadian Municipalities asked for funding toward the plan, and it will come in the form of $50,000. "The Federation of Canadian Municipalities launched the asset man- agement grant in February, recognizing that the impor- tance of strengthening the ability of cities and towns to better look after their infra- structure," Halton Hills Mayor Rick Bonnette said. "This investment allows the town to plan and study our current and future in- ventory to ensure we con- tinue to provide residents the best value for their tax dollars."The grant will be used to conduct a condition assessment of current as- sets, develop a strategy, work plan and policies to support the municipality in projecting future needs re- garding budgets, mainte- nance and operations.
