In last week's Independent & Free Press, it was reported that the Halton Hills nov- ice AE Thunder won the first tournament in the newly amalgamated minor hockey organization's brief history at an Early Bird event in Orangeville. Actually, it turns out that the Halton Hills peewee AA Thunder earned its cham- pionship just a couple of hours earlier than the novice AEs by taking top spot at the Garden City Early Bird Tournament in St. Catharines, defeating the St. Lawrence Kings 4-1.
