By FLORENCE RIEHL Georgetown Seniors Centre Georgetown Seniors Centre Acton Seniors Centre It was full house at the Acton Seniors Dinner sponsored by the Acton Rotary and Branch 197 Acton Legion. I think almost all the members of the Acton Seniors Centre were there. Everyone enjoyed the turkey dinner with all the trimmings and the visit from Santa. As usual the Acton Citizens Band added to the festive evening. I am sure all the seniors in Acton are grateful for this enjoyable evening. There was a large class listening at- tentively to Lorraine McDonald, as she demonstrated the correct way of blending colours to create a beautiful winter scene with a snow-laden pine tree. I saw some lovely pictures as I took a few photos. We have a very creative art class in Acton Thirty members and friends went to St Jacobs to see Legends in Harmony on No- vember 28. We had a wonderful day. The meals were excellent, everyone seemed to be carrying home bags filled with pies and goodies, and the show was amazing. Ev- eryone said it brought back many happy memories. The movie at 1 p.m. on Dec. 10 is The Gathering. December's trip to Rama is a little earlier this month. It will be on Dec.18. Lunch on Dec. 13 at noon will be a Tur- key dinner. If you are planning on attend- ing, add your name to the list early. The annual Christmas Dinner at Blue Springs is on Thursday Dec. 12. Follow- ing the turkey dinner Juke Box will be en- tertain us. If you are planning to attend, please purchase your ticket soon so Real knows how many will be attending. If you wish to take advantage of the bus, please tick in the appropriate column. At Bid Euchre on Thursday afternoon Frances Hogenbirk and Joan Bateman both had mooners. Are you clearing out cupboard and look- ing for a good home for unwanted knitting yarn? The Monday morning craft group are looking for 4-ply wool to knit toques, but will accept all wool for a variety of projects. By JULIE CONROY Acton Seniors Centre
