Naresh Dabas prepares for Saturday's (Dec. 7) third annual 'Cram a Cruiser' food drive at the Real Canadian Superstore, 171 Guelph St., where members of the Halton Regional Police Service, in partnership with the Georgetown Bread Basket and the Superstore will be collecting non-perishable food items in the hopes of filling a cruiser. Uniform officers, auxiliary officers, Communities on Phone Patrol (COPP) volunteers, high school students from Christ the King Catholic Secondary School and a representative from iProRe- alty in Milton will be on hand ac- cepting donations. The event will run between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Photo by Ted Brown Help Cram a Cruiser For the sixth year in a row, St. Alban's church in Glen Williams will be hosting a free Christmas Dinner on Christmas Day. The purpose is to welcome any and all who have limited opportunity to share dinner, companionship and the spirit of Christmas with others. It also provides an opportunity for those less fortunate to receive a hearty meal served with friend- ship and laughter. There is no charge for the guests at- tending. Everything is made possible by donations and helping hands from the church congregation and the broader community. Guests arrive starting at about 12:30 p.m. and dinner is served in the Hall at about 1 p.m. If you or someone you know would like to attend, please contact either the church office (905-877-8323) or Don Robinson (905-873-6760). If no answer, please leave a brief message indicat- ing: name; a contact phone number; the number of persons likely to attend; and whether transportation is needed. If you are interested in helping out, St. Alban's welcomes donations of Christmas food (e.g. turkeys, vegetables, desserts, treats etc.) and helping hands (young and old) both before and on the day of the dinner. If you would like to volunteer (e.g. cooking, serving, music), there are tasks for setup the day before, cooking and serving on Christmas day, plus cleanup after dinner. To offer help in any of these areas, please contact one of the numbers listed below: Volunteers for assisting: Luc Ber- trand, 905-877-8353 Donations: Elizabeth DeBowy, 905- 877-2888 or Roy Parsons, 905-877-9424.
