Charged with impaired driving and having over 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood is Patrick Ferris, 39. • • • Damage is estimated at approximately $50,000 in a fire that started in the garage of a Sixth Line home Thursday evening. A fire in a car inside the garage started the blaze that caused severe heat and smoke damage to the interior of the structure that is attached to the house. The house received smoke damage. No one was injured. While tomorrow (Friday) has been designated pro- vincially as a Professional Development Day, for perma- nent teachers with the Elementary Teachers' Federation (EFTO) and the Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Fed- eration (OSSTF), it is an unpaid day and teachers will not be required to be at school.
