On Sunday, Feb. 24 at 2 p.m. the Theatre, in partnership with the Cana- dian Caribbean Association of Halton, is presenting John Campbell's Gospel Concert. Campbell has been composing and performing since childhood. His mu- sic can best be described as Adult Contemporary/Soul though his musi- cal range is more far-reaching and in- clusive. His musical infl uences include such heavyweights as Marvin Gaye, Luther Vandross, Seal and Sting. His original compositions draw on deeply person- al themes, but appeal to a universal audience. This performance is also a part of the region-wide celebration of Black History Month. On Saturday, March 30 at 8 p.m., the Theatre is working with the lo- cal performing arts community in- cluding musical director, Dale Wood, to produce Dale Wood and Friends. This fun-fi lled musical event will fea- ture many local singers and popular music. The funds raised at this Gala event will go towards the Perchance to Dream fundraising program for the Library and Cultural Centre. Tickets for both of these events and many more are available at the newly- renovated theatre box offi ce, adjacent to the Library entrance at the Cultural Centre.
