I would fi rst like to take this opportunity to thank all the Public Works men and women who take such great care of our roads and sidewalks, we are truly lucky to have such a dedicated roads dept. In what was a pretty substantial storm our crews did an amazing job keeping us who had to travel safe. I think that before Mr. Hoare wrote he should have taken the time to research on how the Works Dept. of the Town of Halton Hills operates. If he had of done this fi rst Mr. Hoare would know that in a major storm the salt routes are the main priory until the storm slows down, then non primary routes (side streets), which Mr. Hoare is referring to, are looked after in a priority sequence . Being a wife to one of our many dedicated Works Dept. men I take insult to this letter. Do you have any idea of the many life events that my husband, as well as his co- workers, have missed? Children's birthdays, anniversaries, Valentine's Day, Christmas etc.-- all to provide a high level of service to our com- munity of Halton Hills. Much ado about... the gallery Dear editor, I can't believe the fuss being made about the library gallery space. The paint isn't even dry and the gallery is not completed yet. The local art- ists are not even on the same page with some complaining and other praising the issue of local artworks. I know Mr. Helson to be a very rea- sonable man and I am sure ample space will be available to the local artists. On a recent visit to the new library I noticed tons of available wall space that would be perfect for displaying any number of artworks. Everyone just needs to be patient and it will get worked out in a man- ner that satisfi es all concerned.
