Your attendance at these meetings is important as it is your opportunity to learn about the OPA and provide comments for staff to consider in making its recommendations to Council on the amendment. Notification If you wish to be notified of the adoption of the proposed official plan amendment or the refusal of a request to amend the Official Plan, you must make written request to the Clerk of the Town of Caledon, 6311 Old Church Road, Caledon, Ontario L7C 1J6. Appeal Procedure (Bill 51) If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at the Public Information Meeting or make a written submission to the Corporation of the Town of Caledon before the proposed Official Plan Amendment is adopted, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Town of Caledon to the Ontario Municipal Board. If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at the Public Information Meeting or make written submissions to the Corporation of the Town of Caledon before the proposed Official Plan Amendment is adopted, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Municipal Board unless, in the opinion of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
