The forecasts for 2031 have been increased and new forecasts for 2041 have been assigned to the Region of Peel. The Region of Peel is undertaking a Regional Official Plan Review to bring its population and employment forecasts into conformity with the new forecasts. Through the Regional Official Plan Review, the Region will be allocating population and employment growth to the Town of Caledon, as well as the Cities of Mississauga and Brampton. The purpose of the Public Information Meeting is to consult with the public regarding potential alternative population and employment growth options for Caledon. Town Council decisions on population and employment growth will be input for Region of Peel decisions on assigning growth to Caledon, Mississauga and Brampton.
