Photo by Phil Gravelle Big rigs, small electrics on display at H5 Show No matter what your taste in trans- portation - big or small, old or new - there will be plenty to see at this year's Halton Hills Health, Home and Happi- ness (#H5) Show. The Town of Halton Hills will have some of their big rigs from Public Works, along with fire trucks, while on the small side, there will be cars on display from local dealerships, including electric plug-in models. It's all happen- ing May 2-3 at the new Mold-Masters SportPlex, which has a series of power- ing stations for electric vehicles. "The kids like to climb all over the trucks, but especially for the guys, it's a mecca of big machines, the latest, hot- test new cars, and food," said Kathleen Dills, General Manager of the Halton Hills Chamber of Commerce, sponsor- ing the event along with The Indepen- dent & Free Press. Local car dealerships will show off their latest offerings, both in the build- ing and in the parking lot, where there will be a variety of food trucks. There will be a Friday Cruise Night, with cruisers from Nashville North and their classic cars. In addition to the electric Chevy Volt, Georgetown Chevrolet Buick GMC ex- pects to highlight the new Chevy Pickup, and an SS Camaro. George- town Toyota plans to show off the Prius, along with the RAV4, Corolla, Tundra, Venza and Highlander. More than 3,000 people are expected to attend the two-day H5 event, which will showcase more than 100 local businesses. It is focused on the theme of "Small Town Living At Its Best". There will be entertainment, draws, prizes and giveaways throughout the weekend, as well as home and health presentations. Check the Events page at www.haltonhillschamber.on.ca for more details.
