Notice Dated: May 7, 2013. So far there are three Wellington- Halton Hills candidates running in the June 12 provincial election. They are: Ted Arnott (PC), Dave Rodgers (Green Party) and Dan Zister (Liberal). The NDP were to select their candidate at a nomination meeting last night (Wednesday). Arnott, who lives in Fergus, has been an MPP for 24 consecutive years. He was first elected at the age of 27 in the riding of Wellington. Due to riding boundary changes he was elected in 1999 in the Waterloo-Wellington riding and in 2007 in the Wellington-Halton Hills riding. Zister is a business consultant who says his home is Waterloo, but he rents a place in Toronto. Rodgers is an environmental scien- tist and consultant who has lived in Puslinch for more than 30 years. Arnott is opening a campaign office May 15 at 118 Mill St., Unit A, George- town. The number is 1-866-788-1688. Zister said he hopes to open a campaign office in Georgetown at 10 Mountainview Rd. this weekend. The Canadian Federation of Univer- sity Women in partnership with Halton Hills Public Library is hosting an All Candidates Debate from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at John Elliott Theatre Wednes- day, May 28. Three candidates-- so far-- to run in June provincial election Are you on the voter's list for the municipal election The province has launched a new pro- cess for confirming the voters list for the fall municipal elections. A new website -- voterlookup.ca -- is a new online service for Halton Hills electors to confirm and update their electoral infor- mation used to compile the final voters' list for municipal and school board elections. The Municipal Property Assessment Cor- poration (MPAC) administers the website and is required to provide municipalities with a preliminary list of electors in an election year. "An accurate, up-to-date list of electors helps the Town administer smooth elec- tions, and it also makes the trip to the bal- lot box quicker for voters," said Suzanne Jones, Halton Hills Town Clerk. voterlookup.ca is designed to be quicker and more efficient than the traditional Mu- nicipal Enumeration Form mail-in system, which yielded a 40 per cent return rate.
