Josey Bonnette, BIA manager, Mayor of Halton Hills Rick Bonnette and store owner Karen Adcock celebrate the opening of Country Reflections & Vintage Shop, located downtown Acton. Selling antiques, refurbished items, collectibles and great gift items, the store has an appreciation of history, and lots to look at. Photo by Victoria Thoms Country Reflections & Vintage Shop opens in Acton Acton Seniors plan spring outings If you volunteered over the past year at the Hillsview Active Living Centers (Acton or Georgetown) you should have received your invitation to "Thanks a latte!" celebrating Volunteers in our community. It will be held on Tuesday, June 10 at 6 p.m. at the Gellert Centre, Georgetown. If you did receive an in- vitation and are planning to go, please RSVP. Lunch on Friday, May 16 will be salad and a variety of sandwiches plus dessert. If you can't make it in to sign up please call 519-853-5951 and ask for your name to be added to the list. If you are planning to at- tend the catered lunches you will be asked to pay ahead. It is very important that we have an exact count as we have to pay for all the meals ordered. The Centre and the Halton Hills Public Libraries are co-hosting a fantastic day on Tuesday, June 3. You will have a tour of the Acton Library, enjoy a lovely catered lunch in the boathouse before continuing to George- town to tour the new library as well as the Helson Gallery where some of the Group of Seven art is displayed. Space is limited so please sign up if you are interested. If you were interested in playing nine holes on the Blue Springs Academy course, followed by a delicious lunch, the date has been changed to May 28. Hopefully by then the weather will have improved and the sun will shine. This is always a fun day and members from the Georgetown Centre join us. You don't have to be a member to play. Juke Box will be entertaining us again on Thursday, May 22. Ron and Betty are very popular, and I am sure it will be a sellout crowd. We will enjoy ribs and baked pota- to, plus dessert in the Acton Legion. Tickets are available at the Boathouse. We are very grateful to the Legion for allowing us to use their lovely facilities during the renovations. By JULIE CONROY Hillsview Active Living Centre Acton
