This master plan study will identify the transportation needs of the new community and consider a range of options to accommodate future travel demands. We want to hear from you! Join us at the third and final Public Information Centre (PIC). Date: Wednesday June 4, 2014 Time: 4 - 8 pm Location: Peel Regional Police Association 10675 Mississauga Road Brampton, Ontario This event will be an "open house" format, with the project team available to answer questions. Display panels will provide information on: • the preferred transportation network in support of Heritage Heights • the preferred concept for the North-South Transportation Corridor "GTA West" protection area THE STUDY: The transportation study will assess environmental, social, economic and technical factors, and will address the interests of area residents, stakeholders and local businesses in recommending a preferred solution. The study is being conducted as a Master Plan in accordance with Phases 1 and 2 of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (2000, as amended 2011). Key objectives of the Transportation Master Plan include: • identifying opportunities for a transportation corridor crossing the Credit River valley, and refining the North-South Corridor Protection Area in northwest Brampton • planning for innovative road and transit projects that will help develop Heritage Heights and the Northwest Brampton area into a pedestrian- and cycling- friendly, transit-oriented "complete community". N. near the Real Canadian Superstore about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. At publication time Halton Police had few details, but a spokesperson said both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
