She sets high expectations for herself and works hard to achieve her goals. She is actively involved in all areas of the school and community; dra- ma club, grow it green club, peer mediator, track and field, volleyball, cross country, office helper, morning announcements and intramurals. Megan quietly takes on leadership roles and is always respectful of other people's thoughts and opinions. Liam Flynn Park Liam, a Grade 5 student, con- sistently demonstrates consider- ation and kindness toward oth- ers; whether he is reading with a Reading Buddy, performing his role as an Office Helper or volunteering to help out in the classroom. He is a strong student in all subject areas. He is an effective leader during group activities and makes a special effort to engage with everyone. He en- joys participating in extra-curricular activities includ- ing the cross-country team, Think Bowl and Battle of the Books. Owen Dolomont Joseph Gibbons Owen is a respectful, kind, and mature Grade 5 student. He consistently demonstrates a posi- tive attitude towards learning and readily encourages his peers. When making decisions, Owen considers various perspectives and is aware of the impact on others. Owen is involved in his school community by taking on various roles such as office helper, lunch helper, Tribes leader, and Kindergarten helper. Owen is a genuine and honest hu- man being who emulates empathy. Brian Secord McKenzie-Smith Bennett Brian, a Grade 8 student, con- sistently demonstrates leader- ship, maturity, responsibility and citizenship. Brian shows dedica- tion to his schoolwork, and en- sures he completes it with care and accuracy. He is kind and re- spectful to his peers and adults and is conscientious of their feelings. His care and compassion for others comes through his daily activi- ties. He is willing to help out in all aspects of school life and seeks opportunities to develop his leadership. He is a participant in extra-curricular activities, both in the arts, academics, and athletics. Katie Knechtel Pineview Katie, a Grade 5 student, is recognized by both staff and her peers as a confident, quiet leader. She excels in her academics, al- ways taking her work to the next level. When a job needs to be done, Katie takes it upon herself to assist in any way she can, without expecting any recognition. Katie genuinely cares for others and her thoughtful na- ture is always shown through her interactions with all members of the school community. Curtis Hopkins Robert Little Curtis, a Grade 5 student, is a natural leader who inspires confidence in others. He is well mannered, friendly, helpful and outgoing. Curtis shows dedica- tion to his academic achieve- ment and is a skilled athlete. He demonstrates great expertise at balancing his sports, active involvement in clubs, volunteer work and his studies.
