She has a sincere commitment to her family and continually em- braces her faith and actively lives her life in the light of Gospel values. She understands her social responsibility to bring the values of her faith to the world in which she Alexa Thring Stewarttown Alexa, a Grade 8 student, is a role model for other stu- dents. She works hard to achieve well academically, she participates on the volleyball, basketball and track teams. She is the Deputy Prime Minister of student parliament and a member of the choir. Alexa was one of the founding members of the Step Up crew, a student leadership group. Alexa is also a great mentor and tutor, helping other stu- dents with math and assisting with coaching duties for the junior volleyball team. Michelle Luszawski St. Brigid Michelle has been selected as the St. Brigid School re- cipient due to her exemplary Catholic leadership qualities and overall involvement in school affairs. Her positive rela- tionship with staff and students, along with her discernible commitment to family and church, are acknowledged and valued by all members of the Catholic faith community of our school. Esther Smerek St. Joseph Esther has shown consistent dedication and commit- ment to her school community through her role as Faith Minister and her active involvement in social justice initia- tives with the St. Joseph Student Parliament. She contin- ues to grow and explore her faith while demonstrating a kind, patient and compassionate attitude towards others. Julieanne Gallant St. Francis of Assisi Julieanne has been and continues to be involved in all extracurricular activities Student Council, social justice and athletics activities at St. Francis of Assisi school. She is actively involved in the parish community through vol- unteering and attending regular Sunday Mass. Jason is an adult student who graduated from high school and took several computer courses in college before commenc- ing a career in the computer industry. When the programming language changed, he was limited in pathway options and he enrolled in Gary Allan High School to complete the necessary courses to commence a university degree in Computer Science (the first university degree in his family). Jason comes to school every day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and works diligently in each of his classes. He is keen to learn and is a positive role model for other students in the school. He has achieved exemplary results in each of his courses and should be very proud of his accomplishments. Jason Williamson, Gary Allan High School (North) Kyle Leger, Silver Creek Kyle's strong academic performance along with his exceptional involvement in the school community has earned him the respect of both his teachers and peers. Kyle participates in the school band, volleyball team and coaches a junior school team in this sport. He volunteers to help at school functions and is considered a natural leader at the school with his caring demeanor and ability to influence his peers in a positive manner.
