On June 10 at 6 p.m. there is a celebration for all current volunteers in Halton Hills. Join the Town of Halton Hills staff and fellow volunteers for "Thanks a Latte," a special evening of recognition. Lunch on Friday, June 13 will be salad and sandwiches and of course dessert. Thirty-one members and friends from the Acton and Georgetown Centres enjoyed playing golf on a beautiful day last week. Everyone said how much they enjoyed the lunch. On Friday, June 6 the Town of Halton Hills is hosting a Com- munity Covenant for Veterans and their families, 1-3:30 p.m.. Everyone is invited to the cer- emony for the reading and sign- ing of Covenant. I understand that Phyllis Bunn (one of Acton's vets) will be signing on behalf of Acton. There will be light re- freshments, musical entertain- ment, photographs and memen- tos of local veterans. What a wonderful turnout for the New Member Gathering.
