Hope in High Heels has been one of the shelter's main fund- raisers for the last four years, which has men walking in heels (shoes provided by HWP). "We are so thrilled to have Georgetown participating in this fun and unique event," said Carm Bozzo, Development Man- ager, Halton Women's Place. "We know with the hard work and dedication of the Ro- tary Club we will see so many great men committed to end- ing violence against women and we look forward to a great turn out." Hope in High Heels will be held on Saturday, July 12 on Main St. in Down- town Georgetown. Registration is at 10 a.m. at the corner of Main and James Sts. The walk, which begins at 11 a.m., is three blocks long along Main St., from James to Church St. Proceeds from Hope in High Heels will go directly to an updated securi- ty system for Halton Women's Place, which provides a safe haven, information and education to support a fu- ture without abuse for women and their children in the Halton Region community. Registration fee is $30 per person (non- tax receipt- able) or $10 for high school students, and includes the rally, welcome kit, and lunch. Tax receipts will be issued for all pledges over $20.
