Thursday, July 17, 2014 Special pullout section 8 Pages HOME, LAWN & GARDEN It was all hands on deck recently at the Habitat for Humanity build site in Oakville. Even nine-year-old Thomas Wiggin got into the act. The Gardiner Pub- lic School student spent the day holding wire and running errands for the Deker Electric team as they roughed-in the wiring on a new house. The three bedroom, 1,100-square foot home in Oakville was begun March 1 and the excited future owner, a single mom with two kids, expects to move in this month. Prospective owners must qualify (informa- tion is at www.habitathalton.ca), and are expected to put 500 hours of 'sweat equity' into a Habitat for Humanity endeavour. The building continues this summer with a two-family building in Milton, and a 13-family complex in Burlington slated next. Photo by Kevin Powell Putting on the right hat for the job
