On June 25, at the start of a year-end assembly at Brisbane Public School, Georgetown Toyota's General Sales Manager Gord Russell presented a $1,500 cheque to school prin- cipal Mrs. Conrad (left) and Mrs. Flynn from the parent council. Mrs. Flynn chaired a committee to apply for a grant provided each year to schools from Toyota Canada. In 2000, Toyota Canada Inc. developed the Toyota Evergreen Learning Grounds Program to improve the health and well-being of future generations by educating children about the importance of preserving the environment. Toyota and its dealers have contributed more than $6 million to this program. Since its inception, this program has helped green the grounds of more than 3,000 schools, providing outdoor learning opportunities to over 1.4 million Canadian students.
