•T h e IF P • H al to n H ill s •T hu rs da y, J ul y 24 , 2 01 4 30 ELLIS, Kenneth Donald February 15, 1941 - July 12, 2014 Ken died suddenly at home in Mississauga on July 12. Beloved husband to Louise Ellis, and loving father to Heidi (Rob) Melick, Laird (Kim) Ellis, Kirk (Kymm), Megan, and Chris (Erin) Krueger. Playful and generous Grandpa to Keleigh and Quinn Krueger, Alicia and Matthew Melick, Sophie and William Krueger and Eliana Ellis, and Great Grandpa to Phoenix Krueger Lloyd. Ken will also be missed by his sister Marion (Ken) Wallace, his nieces, nephews, and cousins, and by the wealth of special friends that he made so easily and always treated so kindly. Ken had a remarkable way of making people feel welcome and special in his presence. He was thoughtful and unreserved with family and friends-he wasn't afraid to tel l people how very much they meant to him. A wonderful storyteller and insightful man, he brought such pleasure to those lucky enough to share his time. Ken was a true example to all of us who strive to live life to the fullest every day. In life, Ken was an adventurer and great outdoorsman. As a keen traveller, he saw and experienced so many wonderful things. He built schools in Ghana, trekked to the Arctic Circle, hiked the Camino de Santiago in Spain, marvelled at the power of the Iguazu Falls, and was hopeful to visit Turkey next. He hiked from one end of the Bruce Trail to the other, walked across England, cycled across P.E.I., loved the peace of cross-country skiing and canoeing, and entertained many generations for many years with his stories at the O.T.F. campground at Quinn Lake. Wherever he was, his charm, wonderful humour, and genuine warmth endeared him to so many. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ken's memory to The Bruce Trail Conservancy, P.O.
