Charged with committing an indecent act is Paul Philpott, 53. ••• Halton Regional Police laid weapons and drug charges on a Mississauga man at a RIDE spot check in Norval early Fri- day morning. Officers spoke with the driver of a ve- hicle and developed grounds to believe the man was in possession of marijuana and when officers attempted to make an arrest, the suspect resisted. A search revealed a small quantity of marijuana and brass knuckles. The man was taken into custody and later released on a promise to appear in court. Charged with possession of a con- trolled substance, possession of a pro- hibited weapon, assault with intent to re- sist arrest and possession of a prohibited weapon contrary to probationary condi- tions is 26-year-old Brandon Dacosta. ••• Four tires and their rims valued at ap- proximately $1,000 were taken off a ve- hicle parked at a commercial property on Steeles Ave. in Halton Hills sometime during the weekend of July 12-13. Four 16-inch aluminum rims and their tires were swiped and the vehicle was left resting on other tires found on the lot of J & JM Team Inc.
