In the July 14 crash, a 2001 Honda Civic collided with a 1999 Kenworth dump truck on Trafalgar Rd. at Five Sid- eroad, according to Halton Regional Police. Officers say the occupants in the Civic were four co- workers returning home from a long day at the office. But, two of them never made it home. A Brampton husband and wife, aged 52 and 47, both backseat passen- gers, were killed after being ejected from the Honda Civic that was barely recogniz- able after it collided with the dump truck. Balvir Dhillon, 56, has been charged with careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act. He will be in Mil- ton court Oct. 6 Halton Police Sgt. Chantal Corner said the male driver of the Civic was freed from the vehicle by emergency crews and was then airlifted to To- ronto's Sunnybrook Hospital in critical condition. Corner says his condition has since improved. The other male passenger of the Civic and the driver of the dump truck were taken to Milton District Hospital with minor injuries.
