Since 1999 At a recent meeting of HH-DOG it was decided to try something new at the leash-free park in Cedarvale Park. On Sundays, from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m., owners of small dogs (25 lbs and under) can bring their pets to socialize with other small dogs. HH-Dog is asking that larger dog owners respect that time. This past spring, members of HH-DOG conducted a survey among users of the park to determine needs and ideas for improvements. A number of those surveyed said they would like to have a separate area for their small dogs. Since the leash-free zone in Cedarvale Park is not large enough to accommodate another fenced off area, it was decided to try a separate time instead. The leash-free park in Acton, located in Prospect Park, has had a separate time for greyhounds and their owners for some time, and it works well. "We hope to have the same co-operation and success here in George- town with this new small dog hour," stated HH-Dog in a press re- lease. For more information, contact by e- mail at group@hhdog.com The group meets next on Monday, Sept. 8, 7 p.m. at the Georgetown po- lice station on Guelph St. HH-Dog launches Small Dog Hour
