With a generous donation of $25,000 from The Co-operators' local insurance agent Ray Johnson (pictured above), the Town of Halton Hills was able to pur- chase a much-needed third Olympia for the rink. Local artist Robert Johannsen, who has done several murals in town, put several months of intensive work into this project to design a truly unique kid-friendly ice resurfacer. "We didn't want to do the typical ice resurfacer that would basically be an advertising billboard," said Johnson. "We wanted something that the kids (and parents) would love. And, I think we came up with something quite unique. I am amazed at what Rob has done. Hopefully you will see something new each time you see it on the ice." Photo by Ron Stiel
