Born March 6, 1976 to John and Janice Florek, Cheryl grew up in Atikokan. Cheryl attended Wilfred Laurier University in Water loo, receiving 2 degrees and becoming a successful computer programmer. Cheryl was united in marriage to John Northey on August 21, 2004 and together they adopted three beautiful girls, Key-Ara, Saira and Shayne. Cheryl left her job as a computer programmer, choosing a less stressful job so she could be there for her girls. Cheryl loved to paint, enjoyed life and refused to live with regrets. Cheryl was a wonderful unique woman who loved her family with all of her heart. She leaves behind her husband John; daughters Key-Ara, Saira, Shayne and Katrina Northey; parents John and Janice Florek; brothers David (Helen) Florek and Carl Florek; sister Julia Florek (Dave); in laws Jack and Karen Northey; sisters-in-law Kris Northey and Jennifer Hickinbotham as well as large extended family. She was predeceased by her grandparents Apolinary and Wladyslawa Florek, Agnes and John Yurchuk and sister-in-law Karen Stephenson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 1p.m. at Riverview United Church in Atikokan, Ontario with Reverend Ruth Ivall officiating. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place in the Little Falls Cemetery in Atikokan, Ontario. The family gratefully requests that in memoriams be directed to a Family Trust at CIBC 04087/81-53884 to help with Katrina's care. BARBER, Doris Kathleen January 26, 1929 - September 16, 2014 Our loving and beauti ful mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Doris Kathleen Barber (nee Longstreet) left us to join her husband Mervin (2010) on September 16, 2014. She will be dearly missed by her daughters and sons-in-law: Marilyn and John Roszell, Sharon Lacey, Kathy and Norm Charette. Grandchildren: Amy and David Hannah, Corey Charette and Blair Hillier, Erin and Jamie Marvell and Trevor Lacey.
