A Halton Hills Cooperative Program Planning Committee Event It's a little past Halloween but Source of the Song 29 on Saturday Nov. 8, 2-5 p.m. in Glen Williams Town Hall will feature three bewitching singer-songwriters-- Stacey Lee Guse, Carrie DeMaeyer, and Giselle Sander- son. "They're all quite different writers as well as being extremely talented singers," says award-winning songwriter Bruce Madole, the show's host. Guse has been most widely known as a stellar vocalist who has worked with the likes of Producer David Foster (as a part of the su- per trio Lace) and Canadian producer Rich- ard Hutt. To some, she will be forever remem- bered as the stunning duet partner in John Landry's recording My Heart Says Yes, or the electrifying lead vocalist with Award nominat- ed Western Swing Authority. Sanderson, also was once a part of the Lace trio, and has recorded with some of the most highly acclaimed producers in the world. Sanderson shared the stage with Keith Urban, David Foster, Brooks & Dunn, and a variety of Canadian artists. DeMaeyer also a well-respected vocalist with groups like Krazy House, Big Love and now the duet Lusterfield, has also been forg- ing a fast-rising reputation as a songwriter. This includes placing 16 co-written songs on recordings over the past four years. "Writing songs at this level is one of the most difficult tasks that you can imagine," says Madole. "The odds against success are as- tronomical. That's one of the reasons why we continue this series, to emphasize what song- writers do, because the entire industry is built, at some level, on the least understood and least visible contributors to it: the songwriter." Doors open at 1:30 p.m. Tickets, $20, are available at Reeve and Clarke Fine Books, 521 Main St. in Glen Williams, or by contacting co-producers Bruce or Marlene Madole, 905- 459-9753, brucemadole@sympatico.ca. Source of the Song 29 returns Nov. 8
